Frequently asked questions

How do I choose the right color for my skin tone ?
To choose the right makeup products for your skin tone, it's important to know your skin undertone (cool, warm or neutral). If your skin has pink or bluish undertones, you probably have a cool undertone. So it's best to opt for pink, violet or bluish shades. If your skin tones are golden or olive, you have a warm undertone, and golden, coral or peach shades will suit you better. For foundation, choose a shade that blends with your natural skin tone.
Are your products dermatologically tested ?
Our complexion products are carefully formulated to suit all skin types, including sensitive skin. They contain skin-friendly ingredients that minimize the risk of irritation. However, if you have very reactive skin or are prone to allergies, we advise you to test the product on a small area of your skin before using it fully. We ensure that our products offer optimum comfort while respecting your skin's sensitivity.
What to choose between liquid, compact and powder foundations?
The difference between liquid, compact and powder foundations lies mainly in their texture, coverage and effect on the skin: - Liquid foundation: Lightweight and easy to apply, it offers adjustable coverage, from light to medium, and a natural finish. It's ideal for normal to dry skin, thanks to its moisturizing texture that can be applied evenly, often with a brush, sponge or fingers. - Compact foundation: Creamier and richer, it offers medium-to-high coverage, perfect for camouflaging imperfections. Its practical format is ideal for touch-ups and is suitable for normal to combination skins. Depending on its formula, it can give a velvety or matte finish. - Powder foundation: Lightweight and mattifying, it's perfect for combination to oily skin, as it helps control excess sebum. It offers light-to-medium coverage and a natural matte finish. It can be used alone or in conjunction with another foundation to set make-up. Each type of foundation responds to specific needs, enabling you to find the one best suited to your skin type, preferences and desired effect.
Which brushes should I use to apply complexion products ?
To apply complexion products correctly, it's important to choose the right method and the right brush for each product to achieve an even, natural result. Here are a few tips according to the type of product and brush: -Liquid foundation: Use a flat or kabuki brush with dense bristles for a light finish. Place a small amount of product on the back of your hand, then apply in circular movements or from the inside to the outside of the face. -Compact foundation: Use an integrated sponge applicator for more intense coverage. Take the product directly from the compact and apply in dabs, smoothing over the skin. -Powder foundation : Use a wide powder brush/medium powder brush or a kabuki brush for diffused application and a natural finish. Pick up a small amount of powder, tap off excess, then apply in circular motions for even distribution. -Concealer: Use a short-haired precision brush or a diffuser brush to blend the product into the skin. Apply concealer in small dabs to targeted areas, then blend gently to avoid demarcation. -Blush: Use a powder brush or beveled brush to sculpt cheekbones. -Bronzer: Use a wide, fluffy brush for a diffused, healthy-glow effect. -Highlighter: Opt for a fan brush for a subtle, luminous effect. How long can I keep a complexion product after opening ?
The shelf life of a complexion product after opening is indicated directly on the packaging of each Adopt product. You'll find a logo representing a small open jar, accompanied by a number followed by the letter “M” (for example, “12M” for 12 months). This symbol indicates the number of months the product can be used safely after opening. We recommend that you respect this indication to guarantee the quality, efficacy and hygiene of your products.
Which complexion products are right for you ?
The choice of complexion products depends on the desired effect: -For full coverage: Choose a compact foundation or a high-coverage liquid foundation. -For a matte finish: Choose a powder foundation or a mattifying liquid foundation, accompanied by a setting powder. -For a glowy finish: Choose a moisturizing liquid foundation, complemented by a highlighter on strategic areas (cheekbones, brow bones). -For a light, natural look: choose a light foundation. Each product allows you to personalize your make-up according to your desires and skin type. See our complete complexion range in the complexion section of our website.
